underexpose films // braces-less

1. I recently got my third film developed and found out that some of the prints didn't come out as I wanted to, so I had to edit the pictures. As the results, the photos become extremely grainy.

2. I've been abandoning this blog for nearly two months because nothing really exciting to be written and informed here. Last month, I took my braces off, and these are the picture before and after. Taken by my dentist and isn't it obvious that he doesn't know to use an slr? Haha. So, you can't really see the difference. :P

3. I got a new writing blog, but I've not published a new one since new year, well, there is, but as usual, it's in draft, waiting to be finished, but you can read here if you are interested. :)

And I do realise how silly it is to write a blog post with numbers, but you know what, YOLO SWAG YOLO!

:P

Finally got to scan all of the photos from the roll but I haven't pro-processed those 'cause it might take some time! But weehoo, I FINISHED my finals. Dead when literature paper but now, I'm resurrected (probably will die back when I get the result, but for now just let it go first)! Gonna take more photos with my film camera inshaAllah, and this semester break, I got so many things to do! ahhh!

"with age comes wisdom.. but sometimes..."

I just finished my Language Description (grammar) paper this morning and I'm so glad I actually did some studying, even though not enough, it DID help me a little bit when I was in the hall. Hilarious that my mom texted asking me if the paper was okay. Of course the paper was okay, the one who wasn't okay was actually me! :D

The first thing I did as I entered my room was that I kept my grammar books and folios into a box which I will bring the box back home by the end of the semester (which is next week!) as my campus is shutting down soon, not literally shutting down, maybe more to a getting a new name and a new place, but as for me, it's done. The campus is done. People wouldn't know what IPG Kampus Pendidikan Teknik KL, Cheras is anymore in future..

Well I'll save that later. About the campus stuff 'cause I myself not sure about it entirely, so yeah.

After I settled doing my stuff(despite that I still have three more papers for finals) I decided to watch "The Hunger Games" as emm, a kind of stress-reliever and, and also as I did not have the chance to watch it since it came out to theatre last March..

I was surprised that the movie was quite good! I mean, I've read the book, but I didn't feel the emotions as I felt when watching the movie. But the book I have read recently, "The Kite Runner" by Khaled Hosseini and the movie which was released in 2007 is vice versa! Khaled Hosseini managed to make me cry through his writing but the movie didn't move me as much as the book did. Obviously, the movie "The Kite Runner" was done in a much lower budget than "The Hunger Games".. but I just feel it's unfair for Khaled Hosseini who wrote such a great, full of emotions, touching book to get a little attention. I probably cannot compare the books because both "The Hunger Games" and "The Kite Runner" fall under different genres. Nevertheless, both of the books have a fair share of my attention, but not my love. (I have the "The Hunger Games" trilogy ; "Catching Fire" and "Mockingjay" waiting at home to be read, duh!)

"for you, a thousand times over."

I definitely loved "The Kite Runner" more. I just have to reread it. Genius writer, rich in vocabulary and what else I can say. You just have to read it. Maybe the story in the book has told me that I've no best friend that'd be so loyal and kind and bla bla blaah.. you just gotta read it. My favourite quote from the book is "for you, a thousand times over." So deep, and it shows so much of love..

I cannot even draw any wise conclusion from what I've written so far. But what I want to share;

"with age comes wisdom, but sometimes age comes alone."

first film roll of 2012: Part 1

I finally got my first roll of film of 2012 I took with my Canon AE-1. Alhamdulillah 32 out of 36 turned out okay, just some minor problems on the prints like blur or the white balance stuff. So these are some because I have no time to scan all those yet since final exam is just around the corner and I haven't even started studying. -__-"

InshaAllah, more to come when I'm done with the hell.

Wish me luck for my exam! xo

Wake me up when September ends...?

*_*
merely a decoration for this post. any objection?

It has ended by the time you read this.. so I am quite sure you're wide awake.

This year flies so fast, I still can remember that it was just yesterday I took silly pictures with my friend, Hawa with my laptop's camera. It was January. And now, the end of September.

Final examination's coming real soon.. I have done nothing and to the truest sense, I have not finished doing my assignments that have to be submitted tomorrow.

Life was pretty upsetting recently, until I read some words of motivation in Sean's e-mail. Lifted my soul up a little bit. Alhamdulillah.

Bye-bye, september. Hullou October. :)

A Match

It's a quite long day for me and it still hasn't ended 'cause I've two (or three) assignments to be finished this week.. and final exam is just in the corner, so yeah.

Tonight was the second round for the badminton match I joined in college. No need to ask, from the beginning I knew that I would lose. It's bad for a human to make such fate, I mean, to be pessimist that there was no chance at all to win. But come'n, the first round was pretty bad too. My first opponent who was my friend, Ira, got injured in the second set. The first set I won with 15-14 where it was quite intense. Just that in the second set, it was fated that the wound on her finger disturbed her. I'm pretty sure if she weren't injured, we would make at least to the third set.

And tonight's one, which was the second round... My opponent was one of the athletes in college... when I was told that she was gonna be my opponent, I *facepalm*, 'cause I knew, I would be dead.

AND IT'S TRUE.

The second round result was ; 3-15, 15-13 and 9-15.

Hewhewhew.

Missing you

Kew Gardens

Realise or not, it has been 18 months since I left the other part of the world. I love my hometown, Malaysia definitely, but half of my soul is still there. I am missing you. Always.

One day, again inshaAllah.

The photo was taken in Kew Gardens, London. I think I've uploaded it here before but with different edit which was quite boring. This one looks a little bit more intriguing and interesting. And reminiscing.

Life update :
I want to write more but when I get internet, I always get blank. And now, internet limitation makes me stop writing.

Happy Sunday. :)

nineteen

Been awhile since I last updated, life's been quite upside down for these two weeks but inshaAllah it'll end soon. :)

I turned 19 today, alhamdulillah, God gave me another year. :)

Today's pretty normal as not so many people know that it's my birthday because I hide it on Facebook. I have my own reasons for that tho. Even the closest ones to me in college didn't(or haven't) wish me, but I'm seriously fine with it. I myself just keep silent for the day. Plus everyone was so busy and had so many things in their minds so, yeah.

However, a classmate, Kefi kept telling everyone if I were around her that it's my birthday and of course they wished me. Haha, but a good thing that when I was in cafeteria for dinner (late lunch) when I wanted to pay for my food, that 'kepochi' classmate of mine told the pakcik café that it's my birthday and asked him if he could give my discount for my food and I was like, "shut up Kefi, you keep telling everyone!" She didn't shut up of course, she continued laughing, laughing hysterically. Haha. Kefi is one of those who texted me very early in the morning.

I was a bit overwhelmed to read 5 or 6 texts from my friends (best friends) who wrote that kind of looooooong messages with all the du'as (prayers) and wishes for me, and a lovely MMS from my mom. To be honest, I am still happy that they remembered my birthday even tho I did not mention about it.

As last night, my very good friend, called at 12am to wish me, but I already went to the dreamland because I was really, really tired yesterday. So many work, so I slept quite early. I still picked up the call tho, because she's one of my favourite people, and once I answered, she shouted, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!" and I was like, what?! It's 12 am lah!! Then she asked me if I were sleeping, so she apologised but questioned me why I went to sleep so early since it's my birthday and bla bla..

Truth is, I wasn't hoping and waiting for wishes, since I don't think anyone would know. Birthday to me is the day that my mom was pushing so hard, battling to survive, the day that my dad was rushing to the hospital to send my mom.
Alhamdulillah, she survived. Alhamdulillah, until now I feel the joy of having both parents around to take care of me. To me, even though they are very bossy and nosy (oh wells), they're doing their job!
To me, birthdays are meant for parents actually, not to us. If you have small sisters/brothers/nieces/nephews, you'll hear that people would congratulate the mom/dad of the baby, not the baby, of course they're still small to understand what birthday is, but hey, doesn't that make sense? :P

But anyway, ameen to all of the wishes and du'as. Thank you so much!

In a major note, thank you so much mama and abah. I love you both. Without you guys, I am nothing and I wouldn't even exist in this world. Thanks for everything.

Syukur.

Tomorrow I'll be having a grammar quiz but I haven't studied anything at all and I don't feel like to actually. So I'm gonna stop now. I've so many things to rant here but so limited time. Next time inshaAllah.

Oh that video clip I made for fun, borrowed my friend's camera, and yeah just trying out.. :D

Have a nice day... :)

Merdeka 55

{Photos aren't in order.} Random.

I've a few stories to share but unfortunately I don't have adequate time to bla bla here, so, inshaAllah I'll find time to write everything about my Merdeka celebration experience.

Happy Independence Day, Malaysia. :)
