Happy Teacher's Day

Yes, yes, this is the first time I got some "Happy Teacher's Day" wishes, my inaugural year celebrating Teacher's Day even though I am still far (far away) from being an official English teacher. Another 4 years, if Allah wills, I'll be getting my degree "Bachelor of Education in Teaching English as a Second Language" and then, a teacher? Absurd right?

I am now a young adult where I actually used to think I am still sweet sixteen (and still I guess.... hehe). Why the hell I am in college now?? Why I have to study that, study this... and bla bla endless questions always pop out in my mind.

Again, I never thought I would *want* to be a teacher one day, BUT, here I am. I love arts, but it is okay. Teaching is great. Communicating with kids is even greater. Once, I heard this quote ; "teachers live forever in the lives they touch" which is very, very true.  I still remember my teachers through out my school life years, especially those who were sincere in giving education to children, those who were fierce, those who were so friendly and of course, those who were lazy (always skipped classes and asked us to do our own business which I honestly despised it but I liked it when the times I needed some sleep in the class lol :P). There are many types of teachers in this world.. (reminds me of an essay I did with my group mates during Language Development class - Kak Najaah, Hawa, Joey and Kefi), but don't let me start with it. Haha, it's funny that I used to think that being in teaching profession is the least I want to do in life. But hey, it is art too, right? Art in education, sort of? :D

I'd like to wish all of my friends who are in the same shoes with me (or not), my parents, my siblings, my aunts, uncles, grandma, and teachers & lecturers, Happy Teacher's Day.. you guys are/were teachers to me in so many ways, directly or indirectly. :)

Even though being a teacher won't make me rich, but I believe it is the noblest job ever... :)

In another note, these two pictures sum up what I've done in the past two/three weeks. I'm done with King Lear dramatisation! The play was incredible - well, that's according to our lecturers. Alhamdulillah! My act as an old man, was successful, no? :P hahah, I have no photo of me and even others when we were performing as the only audience were lecturers and the project manager - which was my beloved classmate, Yam. It was definitely enjoyable despite this play took almost all of nights in the period. Hahah!

:)

Oh, and I actually sacrificed my morning to write this blog! So, give a clap to me! ;) xx
