Aurora Borealis

Aurora - Colours of the north from North Frame on Vimeo.

Arghh, this is so, so, so beautiful that it made me cry! I swear, Aurora Borealis or known as Northern Lights is one of the most beautiful things God created! I always, always want to see it with my own eyes but so far, I haven't got the chance because if I wanna see aurora, I must go to the upper part of the world. Countries such as Canada, US (Alaska), Finland, Sweden, Norway and Russia, but of course, in North.

I haven't finished reading the whole thing about the occurrence of Aurora, but surely it shows how Science and God are related, without God, there's no Science because after all, God is above of all. Logically, Aurora won't be there if no one ever thought of creating it, right? Plus, no mortal cannot even create any leaves. Subhanallah, how merciful He is.

Back to Aurora, I have seen various of colours (on photos), but 80% of them are in green colour. I guess this would explain (or not - at least for me, hahaha!) :

As the electrons enter the earth's upper atmosphere, they will encounter atoms of oxygen and nitrogen at altitudes from 20 to 200 miles above the earth's surface. The color of the aurora depends on which atom is struck, and the altitude of the meeting.
  • Green - oxygen, up to 150 miles in altitude
  • Red - oxygen, above 150 miles in altitude
  • Blue - nitrogen, up to 60 miles in altitude
  • Purple/violet - nitrogen, above 60 miles in altitude
All of the magnetic and electrical forces react with one another in constantly shifting combinations. These shifts and flows can be seen as the auroras "dance," moving along with the atmospheric currents that can reach 20,000,000 amperes at 50,000 volts. (In contrast, the circuit breakers in your home will disengage when current flow exceeds 15-30 amperes at 120 volts.)

Another recent favourite, I have watched a lot of videos of Auroras, but this is my current one. So in love!
Now, JUST LET ME GO THEREEEE!! =')
